JAL Chairman: To Choose Business Partner As Soon As Possible |

TOKYO (Dow Jones)–Japan Airlines Corp. (9205.TO) Chairman Kazuo Inamori said Monday the carrier aims to finalize its choice of a business partner as soon as possible.
The airline, which filed for bankruptcy protection last month, is in talks with
Delta Air Lines Inc
. (DAL) and
AMR Corp
.’s (AMR) American Airlines for a potential alliance.
It was Inamori’s first comment on the partnership since he became chairman of the struggling carrier Feb. 1.
JAL’s newly appointed chief operating officer, Masaru Onishi, said the company is currently “neutral” on which airline it might choose.
